SciBars are informal discussions about science, technology, engineering or maths over a pint of beer, glass of wine or cappuccino in a pub or bar.
An expert delivers a short introduction to a topic and then a discussion ensues – it’s your regular pub debate, just a bit more organised. You don’t have to be an expert, any level of question is welcomed – this is an opportunity to learn more about a topic that sparks your interest.
SciBars are open to everyone and are free (except for what you spend on drink or food). The SciBar is set up and run by local volunteers.
Everyone is welcome although lucky people under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
